I am pleased to present to you my collection of gems that I have strung into beautiful necklaces. Based on the southwestern flank of the mighty 10,000 foot Haleakala and just steps from the beautiful Pacific ocean on the magical island of Maui, it is easy to get inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds us here. I have been gathering and using semi-precious gems since 1985 and have since then been on a quest for the highest quality and richest colors I can find. Now I believe I have succeeded and am ready to share them with you. This website serves as a gallery, showing some samples of the stones I use and the necklaces I create. Among the more rare and specialized stones are Moldavite, (“the only gem quality mineral of extraterrestrial origin), also gem quality translucent Sugilite, Larimar, rare Chinese Star Ruby, Seraphenite, Gaspeite, and very high quality Tourmalines of all colors. Most of the beads I use come through Hong Kong. I find the Chinese produce the highest quality beads since they come from such a long lineage of stone carvers. Other sources are India, Thailand, Bali, Mexico and of course America.
An example of the stones I use can be seen on the cover page of this website, there are three necklaces displayed with Moldavite, African Jade, faceted Lapis Lazuli, faceted Amazonite, Australian Crysopraise, Citrine, Carnelian, Garnet, Rainbow Moonstone, Amethyst, Rose Quartz and Sterling Silver.
Other beads I use frequently are Amber, Apatite, Andulusite, Aquamarine, Blue Chalcedony, Red and Black Coral, Green and Red Garnet, Iolite, African and Chinese Jade, Kyanite, Labrodorite, Lemon Quartz, White and Rainbow Moonstone, Opal, Peridot, Pearls, Puau (New Zealand Abalone), Quartz Crystal, Rubies form Burma, Sri Lanka and China, Sunstone, Smoky Quartz, Turquoise, Tanzanite and Tiger Eye (red, brown and blue).
The prices range from forty dollars for simple necklaces with sterling silver clasps to twelve hundred dollars for necklaces made with rare stones and 18 carat gold.
I invite you to e-mail me with any request and or questions you might have. Wholesale inquiries are welcome. Due to the nature of the artistry, it is not possible at this time to show each piece I have created, rather if you provide me some idea of what interests you (what colors, what stones, what length), I can then proceed to send photo's of what I have in stock, as it changes almost daily.
I look forward to hearing from you,
with Love, Lyght and Aloha,
Huckleberry
